Looks like you got a nice track bike there silver.

Also looks like you have a bikers dream garage, can i come a do some shoping !!!LOL

absolutly amazing! nice one mate!
looks like you got a good buy there well done! good luck to you on the roads!

Ah Silver, I’m really happy for you, it’s a beautiful bike! I am surprised that it is so mint, considering the baragain price you got it for! I bet you feel much more at ease now, and willing to get out on track in less than perfect conditions! You’ll have to learn how to change the wheels quickly now though, for when it starts raining, and you’ve got the slicks fitted!

I also really dig your garage! All great bikes in there, and room to spare! So what’s your goal with this bike, just to rest up the road bikes, or take your track riding to another level?

Brembo, Brembo, Brembo; fit a Brembo radial master-cylinder, 19x18 size would really suit the bike! You’ll have to be late on the brakes to make the most of your handling advantage with the 600! The power of a Brembo brake setup is insane, if you’ve not tried it before, I thoroughally recommend it!

WOW! Really nice Silver mate… Bloody great price too!!! Have loads of fun on it, and try not to high side this one please, its an R6 for petes sake!!! lol, bit biased Nice one though matey

Thanks all!

Yes Jay, I’ve never changed wheels before, but I’m sure I can work it out! There’s no room in the garage once I cram two mountain bikes in there too. The idea is to protect the road bike. The bike came with so many spares that I’d hopefully be able to repair any damage without it costing me a fortune. Plus, as it’s a trackbike everything that’s needed for road riding has been removed. All works out cheaper in a crash! (Not that I’m paranoid).

Some of the braking gear is Brembo already, never really looked at their master-cylinders though. Are they that good?

In a word; yes. There is an order of magnitude in difference when comparing the stock, non-radial MC, and the race Brembo items. I have used them on numerous bikes, and you simply cannot comprehend how much a difference (and joyful) these things make to the overall performance of the bike. Ragging the bike and holding the revs to the redline for that bit longer before having to get HARD on the brakes, with full confidence in the tyre by FEELING exactly what’s going on with the front, is an amazing experience. Brakes are more powerful than the engine, in terms of energy output, so this is like a massive performance boost. You will be braking later, with more confidence, guaranteed! It’s simply mind-boggling on track.

Congrats on getting a new trackday weapon. Looks neat and well sorted. All those spares are a real bonus. Lets hope that you will not be needing them. You will find that the front wheel takes longer to change than the back, you need to remove the calipers which takes extra time. Both wheels in 5 mins is attainable quite easily. Hopefully see you out there hooning it before too long.
