New Bike Recommendations?

I am thinking of chopping my gorgeous Fireblade in for something a bit more, er, hooliganesque and wondered whether anyone had any recommendations?

I also have a ‘tinkered around with’ Hornet 600 and find this an absolute hoot, just lacking a bit of power when compared to the Fireblade.

I’ve been thinking of a new CB1000R, Triumph Speed Triple/Street Triple, Kawasaki Z750/1000, KTM Duke/SuperDuke but am open to any type of bike that will put and keep a silly smile on my face when I’m riding. I’m 6 foot 1 so fit most big bikes and use my bike most of the week to go to meetings.

Can anyone help with their experiences and offer any recommendations?

I have a CB1000R - fecking awesomeness - but not too lunatic. Steady, solid, yet OH MY GOD IM GOING TO DIE power delivery, predictable at low speed but GOES LIKE A BEEEYATCH when you twist. Reacts like a pair of chopsticks in countersteer, very responsive forget your knives and forks…

Best advice try 'em all. I did, when I tried the CB, put down the deposit immediately :wink:

I have the black, but get the sword silver. mmm lush.

Only problem is the paint on the side frames. Useless, more like tipex. Will rub off within 1k miles :frowning: make sure you use 3m clear tape on the heelplates and in front of the footpegs. Strangely Honda offer this as an extra!! bah.

But the engine is a peach, its a Fireblade detuned for torque. It has it by the bucketload. 0-60 in 3secs, 0-100 in 5. OMG!

KTM 950 Supermoto. I’ve ridden my bro in-laws and it’s a right laugh. By the way - it’s for sale :wink: .
