Need to steal my own bicycle.

I locked my bicycle at work with cable lock and pad lock, it’s in pretty secure parking so there’s no need for the D-lock, however… I’ve lost my keys!

Both of them :frowning: . I had a go with a hacksaw on the lock but after about 10 mins I’d barely scratched it. It’s a cheap £8 yale one but it’s holding up pretty well.

I don’t own any bolt cutters and my angle grinder won’t reach that far out where. Not something I’d normally ask but is there any cheaper method to getting through the lock or do I just need to buy some bolt cutters?

Find the closest building site and wave a tenner around

Where about are you?

I’m in Westminster just off horseferry Road.

Bit far from me, I could probably lend you some bolt croppers if you were nearer.

Do you have a drill? Hammer & wedge?

Cable locks are often suprisingly easy to cut/snap - youtube has lots of answers that involve small tools or even just chunks of wood.

Just hit it with a hammer. Easy.

posting tips and hints for people to read on how to get through bike security…

THis is almost as dumb as posting up pictures of where you keep your spare house keys

a 10 year old from round my way could tell you how to break an £8 yale lock Toby…

must be that sheltered upbringing of mine, Pater did say htat one could ask the staff to purchase certain services if one frequented the right places… tell me Mr B, where can one purchase death or the floggin of a small Transylvanian prostitute off her head on Cornflakes… I hear that’s all the rage amongst the common folk these days? Oh how very risky of us… wot wot

Ayup!
