Wayne Soman got 12 months for [filming himslef] riding at 160 on a remote country road without hurting anybody, this prick gets 15 months for doing similar speeds BUT in the most dangerous situation - playing Russian Roulette with peoples lives on a blind bend, crashing, hurting people and trying to pervert the course of justice [originally charged with iirc] and ONLY gets 15 months.
Your speed on a Bike is a matter between you and your maker, in a car, you are likely to kill people other than yourself.

what he did was dangerous and foolish but was not so much about speed but about where he did the overtake. when you pass a car on a 60mph road you think you’re doing 60mph to get past them? doubt it somehow
if he’d prior for dangerous/reckless driving then i can see how they can say it relevant. having a sp30 for a 40 in a 30 from a couple of years ago affecting whether you get a jail term? can’t say i’m comfortable with that personally. besides, how many of us have a clean licence?
the points system/loss of licence is how the speeding offences were dealt with and were deemed appropriate to the offence. this incident of dangerous driving should be on its own merit as its the result of his actions that determine the punishment.
he’s going to get the rodgering of his life and doubt he’d want anything inside the ring for quite some time
hopefully it’ll serve as a deterrent to people acting in similarly labotomised way in their cars/on their bikes.
I think the prosecution can include a persons previous convictions if it shows that the person has a tendency towards that sort of crime…but i’m not sure now! All the information I learn falls out of my ears the second I walk out of the exam hall!
Glad he did’t manage to rise above the law just cos he has money though.
