Naked or Faired

theoreticall question

whats better a half faired bike

or

a naked one (adding a Givi screen for example when/if needed) ?

Naked…obviously…

Nekked everytime

beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

R1!

Beerholder you mean?

I have a 250R which is a full faired bike. I was riding the other day at around 1c weather. Despite having a really warm 3 layer textiles jacket, a Shoei Qwest helmet, TCS Infinity boots, heated grips, super warm gloves, etc, the minute I set off, the wind was like being stabbed with loads of small needles! - I thought the journey was going to be torture.

Then I realised if I tuck myself a little closer to the bike and lean forward, I couldn’t feel the wind at all and was nice and warm! - I ordered a larger wind screen for my 250R just so I don’t have to lean forward as much  - Donno how you guys commute on naked bikes in this weather.

I was riding from Romford to Highgate (A12, A406, around 25 miles each way).

It might have been warmer in 2007 :stuck_out_tongue:

i have a fz6 semi faired for practical reasons compared to the naked banit its better on the m25, but the naked was better in town.

But the naked bikes look better.

Naked every time: less to damage should you happen across Mr Addison Lee…

naked under 80mph faired over 80mph ,unless you have neck muscles like arnie!

no, global warming means that i went from a faired CBF in 2007 to a naked hornet in 2009

Naked twins

What do you want the bike for? That should decide fairing or not.

half faired like my fazer is best
