I had my Track Day at Brands Hatch today which my wife got me for my 40th birthday pressie.
What a great day and loved every min of it and cant wait to go out there again. Today i drove a new M3 BMW and a Single seater. The BMW was awsome and i now want one the power and the breaking is mind boggleing and its a standard road set up, the only track stuff is the fire protection they fitted but its what you can buy from a show room and it handles like **** to a blanket. The single seater was fun but because of the weather and some stupid poeple having accidents in them they gave them the wet set up so the rev limiter cut in in 4th gear and i wanted more power and speed. A bit tight to move in and smaller than the formula 3000 i have driven in the past and the gear ox isnt the best but still great fun.
Over took a few people which added more fun to the track day as yoiu felt you were really racing.
Every one there was welcoming and friendly and any questions you asked reguardless how stupid you felt they were they answered.
Lunch is a bit expnsive but not bad, my lasagna and chips was £7  and not the best i have eaten but it filled a hole.
At the end i bought a photo of mr in the single seater going round a bend as a momento and that was another £20  but it is framed so it`s not bad.
If anyone is thinking of doing a track day on any track day i fully recommend it as it is a great experiance.
Here are some pictures that the mrs and the kids took of the day.

My single seater number was 15 and the Beemer was 12.
