I need a new lid, had my Suomy Gunwind for 5 years now, I think I need a new one!
Where’s the best place to get them? I was after a big shop where I wanted to try a few on first for size, then maybe get one online once I know the right size/model.
I was after a patriotic lid

I’ve had the Cathcart Signet GT lid you posted up for a couple of years now. It’s done me proud and is quite unique. I’ll be replacing it with another sometime soon so don’t worry about that Wig Adrenalin X have big range of lids I believe, and you get a 15% LB discount with them which can be a fair bit off a new lid. Alternatively most Infinity stores have a good range, i.e. Great Portland Street where BabyJ works, or Hanger Lane, both five-star Arai dealers apparently. Bet he won’t give you a 15% discount though!
You won’t get a better lid than an Arai either, best lids out there. There’s a reason why they have the most number of racers wearing them!

The Signet helmet is the least popular Arai EVER!! It was made to combat the old saying of your either a Shoei or Arai head…it only fits people with strange shaped noggins… 'ello Jay 
so please pop into a store to try one…please…Also be aware that as they sell so slowly…you could be buying a helmet thats sat on the shelf for about 3-4 years 
now this aint no major concern, but bear in mind that Arai tells ya to replace it within 7 years of manufacture (the date is on the chin strap) due to the glues they use starting to break down, hence the little plastc clips on the cheek pads fall off A big give away that it is old stock is that some will still have a old style blue British standards sticker on it
If you want to be patriotic Arai also due the St.George helmet which retails now at £250! instead of last years £300 and the new Viper Gt Flag(Union Jack) a bit more pricey at £400 though
I may not do 15% as I’ll get the sack, but I do 10% to LB so still cheaper than the signet and a much newer helmet!
Sounds good. I’ve not noticed the difference in fit between the Signet and Astro, of which I’ve owned both, though the Astro did fit better but then I had it a size smaller (XS). The new Union Jack lid looks quite cool as well I think.
Still think the Cathcart is an all-time classic. Looks good whilst you’re winging it as well
If you go to Rex Judd @ West Hampstead and see the Aussi girl there she can sort out a blinding deal on any Arai. Just mention your LB discount!!. They are a five star Arai dealer as well.
Yeh, think I’ll do that, gone off that UnionJack now, quite fancy the Schwantz replica, I tried the Astro Race on in XL, fits a lot better than my Suomy Gunwind, my chin hangs out the bottom of that

wigg make sure you get ear plugs i love the look of my edwards rep but if i knew it was that fookin noisy i wouldnt have shelled 500 large 
my HJC with broken vents wasnt that loud cant even hear my ipod over 70mph…
