MV Agusta dealer in Wandsworth lasts 11 Months.. A Record?

Sad but Moto Velece has folded and the concession has passed to a scooter dealership near Richmond.

It was a solus dealer but an odd arrangement . 2 NVs in the window and the rest in the basement of the shop.

All servicing was done by Dave Robinson Ducati two shops away (with “MV Servico” badges in the window.)

Seems like the new bosses at MV ( now 25% ownened by Mercedes Benz AMG) didn’t like the small-shop idea.

Sad but he managed to flog 44 bikes in that time

44 bikes in 11 months sounds good to me for a sole trader. pity though.

Yep he pleaded his case to the MV “suits” ( and they wear pretty good suits you can bet) but they weren’t having it.

They think that not having an on site workshop was bad for the image.

(Not that affects Bentley, Rolls, Aston Martin etc who have Mayfair showrooms and service facilities out in the sticks…)

I read this the other day which was quite interesting http://www.asphaltandrubber.com/oped/mv-agusta-business-notes/

Shame… I remember that shop… Its weird tiny like the ducati one next door…

I never knew if t was a shop or some rich londoner’s display

Fixed the link for you

44 bikes sold ain’t bad considering only 10 MV AgustaBRUTALE 675 were registered in 2014 according to here https://www.howmanyleft.co.uk/vehicle/mv_agusta_brutale_675#!newreg

Veeeerrrrryyyy interesting Mian - thanks for that

It’s also interesting to se the way Mercedes - AMG are playing this.

They have got a huge showroom / museum / showplace TEST TRACK! at Brooklands, I was expecting to see on or two MV’s there … nowt so far.

As a center of excellence and somewhere where the very well heeled normally trot about (the restaurant coffee is lousy btw) I’d have thought that it was an ideal place to show off an MV - even just as a work of art.

On second thoughts maybe the place is too full of beer-bellied golf club Considerably -richer-than-yows!

Hmmmm yea that does seem a big claim.

However he did sell his trade-ins and some other older bikes, he could have been spinning one or including 2nd hand ones in the mix.

Hi folks,
Can you confirm that the MV Agusta store in Wandsworth has shut down and the only authorised MV dealer is the one in Richmond?
