Move bitch, get out the way...

To the dude with the blue Sv650 and a go-pro on the very top of his luminous lid, who was just on the chelsea embankment with me just after cheyne walk riding towards Shepards Bush…

You’re welcome. I didn’t want to hold up your commute.

QUESTION TO EVERYONE:

Do people ever move out the way for you?
I get it almost daily… little scooter riders or people on smaller bikes riding along, notice me in their mirrors and politely move over to let me past. Im always very grateful for them doing that, which in turn, always makes me do the same for others when I notice. It makes life so much easier… especially if I want to filter through traffic.

Its happened a few times - but then i’m still on a small bike with L plates - so generally the’re overtaking me. Although I move over when there’s clearly a faster rider behind.

You have to catch me first…

But yes, I am more than happy to move aside for quicker riders having had a much faster bike I know what it can be like.

What annoys me is when smaller bikes try and keep up but end up riding ridiculously dangerously just to prove nothing more than they’re an idiot.

Dont get me wrong, I love smaller bikes, just not knobbo riders.

I got side swiped by a scrout on a 125 tonight on the 406 i was doing 60
I don’t think he will last to much longer the way he was riding

Here we go again… There are dickheads that will hold you up and there are nutters that will try to rev bomb their way through. I let people through who want to go faster, thank those who let me pass and take a deep breath and try and relax when someone doesn’t know how to use their mirrors or can’t hear my exhaust. I’ve stopped rev bombing myself. Top rule for all people who ride in London; If you see a silver R6 in your mirror GET OUT THE WAY!!!:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye::stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye::stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

P.s everyone is free to ride however they like. I take no issue with it unless it endangers my life.

I don’t give a flying how others ride as long as its away from me
i try to be courteous to others in a vain hope they will also do the same

Was nearly taken out by an arse hole scooter last night. Just come over Tower bridge and about to do the usual U-Turn by Minories car park to head East along Highway. Was positioned way over to right of lane at red lights (as had just filtered down right between traffic queue and central pavement), with right indicator on. Lights turn green, about to do my U-Turn when a scoot comes flying up the right of me like a loon to go straight on down Cable St. Really don’t know how I missed him TBH… Total twat.

There’s a fair chance they would have removed themselves from the human gene pool by the time you read this. I only hope they took no one with them.

I normally move aside If I see that the guy behind filters quicker or seems to be in a hurry, as long as they don’t start reving the bike at every stop behind me (in that case they wait… a lot)

Wasn’t me

Yes people usually move out of the way for me.
I just give a little blip of throttle (SV with MIVV can) to let them know I’m there seems nicer than beeping my horn.
It isn’t a problem if they don’t move as I just switch lanes if they are stone deaf and/or ignorant.
And of course I’ll move over if a quicker bike ever catches up with me

I don’t mind people who give me a blip of their throttle, as you say it’s nicer. I had one guy do massive revs and I was thinking WTH… turns out he was doing it so the taxi blocking me could move to a side… not sure I’m the biggest fan of that to be honest.

I always try and give way to the faster ones I see in my mirror behind me. Just polite, and nice.

The A40 flyover section east after Ranelagh Bridge seems to be full of people who can’t filter fast enough (fine with me) but also the same type who never look in their mirrors… unfortunately :frowning: Not really fussed when they’re going at a decent pace but if you can tell they really haven’t got the hang of it…

First of all, every 3-4 months we have this thread
Anyway, what get’s me most is people do not move. Whatever reason is, and I repeat reasons from last post:

  • i’m riding longer than you (judging by, how clean bike is) so i know (this is cutest one)
  • it’s not safe (that’s your opinion)
  • he rev/honk at me, I won’t move I show him
  • mirrors, what mirrors
  • “L” king of the world
  • I can’t fit so you wont for sure

I always move over, very often to find out that “the racer” was not as quick when have nothing to follow. Great fun

ps. Greetings to old yellow GS in Limehouse link this morning, mate if you think you can have go at Speed Triple with mental unstable rider on it you are wrong and that was proven to you. (he was nr 1 from my list)

Rev bombs don’t work on cows ;-(

^^^^works on sheeps though.

I’ll take your word for it Nick!

Yes usually started by you :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I always move over. Don’t mind if people wan’t to go faster then me…

I must say I’m often misjudged because they spot my flowing blonde locks… Only to realise preeetty quickly not only am I faster, but can fit through gaps only the devil would dare.

But yeah I move for the Rossi’s of the road

But cyclists… Baaaaaah get to the left b**tches! And yes that is me revving you!
