MOT's...

Hello People,

Does anyone know of anywhere in Surrey/ London that will do an mot and turn a blind eye to a smaller (not tiny) plate and non baffled can? Just trying to get past the hassle of changing it all just for the half hour! The can isn’t that loud, and doesnt have any visible ‘not for road use’ etc…

Any help appreciated!

You have a PM.

You too, thanks!

can anyone tell me if failure on MOT will occur if a headlight is cracked

regards

“3.
a. a headlamp missing or so damaged or deteriorated that its function is impaired.”

If its just cracked and it doesnt affect the beam image then it will just pass and advise.

thank you!

To post on a theme, can anyone else suggest a sympathetic place for my little old Bandit? She’s 12 years old and doesn’t need an MOT Nazi if you know what I mean.

I’m happy to travel pretty much anywhere in and around London if needed.

Cheers

bump.

Anyone?

Taffster.

Not sure if this is any use but I live in Hackney and always go to either DMC or Burwins. Neither are Nazis. However, I have seen them fail bikes with tiny plates but with the advice to bring it back with a proper one because they can’t take the p*ss.

They won’t let dodgy brakes or bald tyres through as it’s a dereliction of their duty to road safety as testers and bike mechanics.

A new face with a dodgy bike will always raise the suspicion of being presented with a deliberate test from the ministry.

What’s wrong with the bike anyway? Most of the MOT stuff I’d want to have sorted anyway.
