Motorcycle Store (Yamaha West London)

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone else had any dealings with Motorcycle Store a Yamaha dealer in Shepherds Bush? I bought a bike off them and wasn’t too impressed with them at the start and their aftermarket service seems even worse. Needless to say I’m taking my business elsewhere but wondered how reputable the dealership was amongst LB.

The experience I had was when seeing a secondhand bike they did not have the relevant paperwork for the bike so I didn’t put a deposit down. They later called back and said the paperwork had arrived and my question if the bike ONLY had one owner and wasn’t pre-registered by the dealer was answered the that the dealer hadn’t pre-registered it. I then put a deposit down over the phone and when I went to pick up the bike they had lied and it had been pre-registered! I decided to buy the bike anyway but wasn’t impressed.

Now a few months on and the bike is still under warranty, the ignition has started to stick and their answer was to twist it around and it will eventually stop sticking!! Also I was told the R6 was being recalled by the manufacturer and I asked if they could check if mine was one of them and they were reluctant to check and told me to ignore the forum as they talk b***s***! I’ve now taken it to J&S and they are checking my ignition under warranty and they went on to the Yamaha system to check if my bike was on the recall list.

I really am not impressed with Motorcycle Store, anyone else had a poor experience or am I just unlucky?

i havent had any experience with them myself, but if you check the Praise or Shame forum you will see lots of feedback for them. At a glance, most of the topics start with Shame

J&S have clearly improved - they used to specialise in pre-registered grey imports with no manufacturers warranty!

Looked at buying my first bike there - and walked away as I just thought the guy was full of it…
