Motorbike breakers and second handparts - who do you recommend/use?

Hey people, after much trawling of 'bay I’m just one piece of plastic away from getting my bike back on the road - need a front fairing for a cbr600 2001. Missed the one I was bidding on last night due to flippin work issues so need to start phoning around.

After a bit of an issue with a breakers in the Midland (headlight unit they sent me had some serious plastic welding to keep it together), I wanted to be able to actually go to a breaker and see the parts before I buy. Can you guys recommend any that you use in and around London???

I’m seriously getting p#ssed of not having the bike, but not quite enough to spend £00’s at Dave Silvers for a new part!!!

You could try amazing bikes in Erith - usually pretty good down there, I know Nigel who owns it and he wont sell you any old crap.

Have had some trouble with Blacks recently. Will be avoiding them in future.

There is one in north london, http://www.2bsmotorcycles.co.uk/ if u are buying a fairing u should be ok as u can check the condition then and there.

he sold me a crappy throttle body for my gsxr but when i called up and told him it was rubbish he gave me a refund.

ive used this site and the breakers call/email u with prices:

You’re not the only person who has said this to me, so have been reluctant to even bother calling them. Why is it so difficult to find bike breakers in comparision to car ones??

Blacks have always been like that.

The net & ebay appear to have largely killed off most breakers, it’s now a lot easier to break your own damaged bike & flog off the bits, not so easy to do with something big like a car.
