Anyone seen the first and second practice sessions? So far the top six riders are all those that have raced there before (either in World Superbikes or AMA Superbikes) since the Moto GP hasn’t been there for 11 years. Hayden is fastest having broken the lap record already and it might be the best chance he has of actually winning a race! Rossi’s situation is interesting with him currently sitting in 10th. I’m a big Rossi fan, but he needs to lose a couple of races to make the championship more interesting and (hopefully) stop him leaving the sport at the end of next year.
fine job your doing there silver with the qualifying results
haydens looking good and consistant, rossis up to his usual tricks tho eh? putting in a flyer at the last minute. not bad for someone lying in was it ninth earlier and moaning about the track mmm… can he pull it off AGAIN
as jay says would be good for the series to see rossi lose for once,
maybe even barros could surprise us all .
shame no loony 125/250s
enjoy the racing

ps like your mountain avatar silver was that taken with a zoomed lens
I think Rossi is just getting used to the track. I’m very interested to see how he does over the course of the race though. He has been very vocal in saying he thinks it’s unsafe!
The picture was taken by the track photographer using a Nikon D2H and the focal length is 175mm, so it is zoomed (otherwise he’d have been lying on the track to take it!) but not by too much. He got another, much bigger, wheelie picture of me, but I prefer the one in the avatar as it’s a bit more sedate!
Well Rossi loses at last! Still extended his championship lead though so job done really. Was good to see a different winner, just waiting to see what happens to him for taking his Dad round the track afterwards! Also good to see those yams in the North American colour scheme.
Good race! Shame the Suzuki’s didn’t do better, but I guess being in the top-ten is better than nothing! Marco falling off at the start was a bit of a bummer, I’d like to have seen him dice for the game later-on. This is one of the few tracks that isn’t like a true GP track, so it was obvious the real GP boys were struggling, and only those who had AMA/SBK experience could get in the groove.
