MotoGP coverage

Is there anywhere I can watch a live MotoGP race on my own TV now apart from the BBC???

Their coverage reached an all-time low last night, they just managed to start the program as the lights went out and the race began…and yet again, they did not show the podium, because at 11pm on a Sunday night on BBC2…they needed to show the bl**dy Wimbledon highlights:angry:

Thankfully, I had already watched the qualifying on Eurosport and saw they were showing the race live (is this going to continue…please) so watched it on there from 9:30  Sadly deciding to record the BBC coverage to compare.

Why bother securing rights to something they have so little regard for…

+1

When I saw them skipping through the laps I initially thought they must be doing a quick recap of last weeks race before getting in to the real action but no it really was highlights only. It’s just not the same- really disappointing. Seeing only clips of a race takes the point of watching it away. We need the pre & post race bits too- got to see how Casey Stoner’s getting on with his gripey tummy ffs.

cause its cheap for MotoGP and lucrative for them.

+∞!

did they continue the show on bbc multiscreen?

I agree, it was **** poor of the BBC, no build up, no post race, shite highlights… all round crap too be honest.

I prefer to watch it delayed on Eurosport and try not to learn the result before you watch it on Eurosport.

Aahhhhh.

I thought this may be the case. I would (will) rather do this from now on.

Cheers

Generally the Beebs coverage of the MotoGP is awful. Belinda Rogerson (BBC MotoGP director) posts on another board that I frequent, and she was inundated with abuse about the lack of coverage and the awful commentary. We were thinking of getting some T shirts made for Donington with “Cox OUT!” on them…

The Eurosport coverage is far better, and just to namedrop a little, I am going to Indianapolis in Aug, and Jules Ryder and I are going out for a beer together. Looking forwards to Indy, as I have never been. I have done Le Mans and Assen this year ( still sobering up !) and will be at Donington for the Day of Champions ( doing the Ride In). The Ride In this year includes two laps of Mallory, a ride up to Coalville and brekkie at the Vic and then a ride in to Donington and a couple of laps of the track, and last year I had the honour of going round the outside of Niall Mackenzie and Steve Plater at Coppice ( I was trying a LOT harder than they were  )

Get a cheap Freeview box (around twenty quid), select BBC red button and problem solved…125cc / 250cc / Qualifying / Pre and post race build up (most of the time).

The Nikkai I got from Maplin for thirty quid can take a hard drive so it can record programs too.

i just totally refuse to watch the BBC coverage , it’s just so much better with tody and jules and not forgetting neil spalding too , so nice to get some proper inside info … they can just inject so much excitement was as the beeb lot make me fall asleep …

That’s who that other guy was…he REALLY knows his stuff…was very interesting.

Steve Parrish knows his stuff also…I like him, but Charlie Cox…

Nightmare in a bubble car…so ** laps the journey…

Same old phrases every week…:doze:

i dont like bbc coverage BUT I viewed it live at 10pm on british eurosport
