And I thought there were some hard core sporty’s here but nobodies going to see the cream of the crop, shame on you
It’s too bloody far! I might be going, not decided yet.
“It’s too bloody far!”
Come off it
Cant go as packing for a trip to the Nurburgring. Sorry to dissapoint but my play time comes before watching someone else.
Yep, my tickets arrived yesterday
Will be riding up with my girlfriend early on raceday.
It’ll be my first time to a moto gp, can’t wait. I really don’t go to see enough racing.
I love the motogp and I don’t loose one race. Nobody is aloud to talk to me during a race! lol
I’ve been once to Donington and all I acn say is: Been there/ done it / never more!!!
I couldn’t see the race at all! The bloody idiots wih those air hornets drove mad, the bikes are really fast and you can just see a short moment of the race, I had to arrive there 4 hours before the race and it tooke me 6 hours to get home, I was by car as my wife was with me and my stepson. NEVER MORE!
From now on? My nice sofa, beer, food! Comentators, scene review, etc.
But is something you should do wants in your life for sure. I even went to the track after the race and Rossi passed toutching our hands. Got it on film somewhere, lol
Tip: If it will be on the telly, take one of those small 6" or similar TVs , so you wont need to ask what happened after…
When did MotoGP ever go to Silverstone?
Your story is what puts me off to be honest Cezar, MotoGP to me is something very special, I like to soak in all the details on tv. BSB and WSB is fun to watch at Brands Hatch, as it’s nearby, and a good place to spend a day, but I’m not sure I want to give up my GP coverage on the tv!
You said all Jay! Sorry! It was at Donington, my mistake!
Its awesome to be there and drink in the atmosphere. Definately get a great feel for the event if you attend.
The problems really occur in getting in to the track, getting away afterwards and picking a spot to watch from. Now you dont get to follow a battle around the circuit like you do on the telly but you do get to see all the action that goes past you instead of just watching the chosen few. Ok, foods expensive and beers pricey etc but just to soak in the atmosphere is all worth it. My suggestion is to go and camp over the night before if you can, failing that get there real early. Gutted I cant go this year.
Video the race and watch it when you get back, for the bits you miss. I haven’t been to a top class race in a few years (Donington, World Superbikes when Foggy won, 1999 I think) but the atmosphere was awesome - it’s the whole experience, not just the race.
DO NOT GO IN THE CAR THOUGH - You’ll never get out! Took hardly anytime on the bike
