MOT

Hello i was wondering what mot center would pass a bike that everything is in a good condition except the back brake it aither needs bleeding or new set of pads does any one know where i could take the bike and it would pass as i need to do it tommorow

Eeerrrmm I would suspect nowhere would take that responsibility as the brakes are quite important!! Do they work? How worn are they?? U might just get an advisory if it aint that bad…

i had another bike with it they were a bit better then this bike but the still faild me so i bleed them and it passed, this one they do work but the are not strong the pads are almost new so i suspect its the hydrolic

basicaly if you need to low dow becouse u are aprouching a bend or a roudabout then is briliant if you need to stop its not the best but the front brake is amazing

Bleed the brake? It only takes 5 mins.

eh???

low ‘slow’

Not being funny mate, but nearly every bike I’ve had the back brake only acts as a “slow me down” rather than a stop on a 2pence type front brake. If the bike is stationary and you apply the back brake, if the bike can still be moved I’d suggest sort it out… If not it should b fine!!

i will take it for mot tomorrow and i will let u guys know

Taking the 'Blade for its annual trip to Essential tomorrow

Posting on here an MOT tester that will turn a blind eye will be really good for the tester…:pinch:

As said, bleeding that brake is mins?

No reputable MOT testing station will take the responsibilty on of passing a motorbike with dodgy brakes (well I’d like to think) If VOSA found out it would be curtains. Safety first mate, just bleed the brakes and fit new pads. Job done!

MOT flying pass nothing requerd to do at all i thought ill blead the brakes but the more i rode it the better they got and when i took it for the mot they vere perfect and the guy told me it was one of the best around so i think i have got a good deal…

RESULT!

'Blade flew through too…well apart from the front tyre, got an advisory for it last year…new one and alls well for another 12 months
