There was something very strange about this whole thing from the start and the longer it goes on the stranger it looks.
Indeed it does - but unless you dear reader have some facts please shut the **** up. The speculation adds nothing to the detection, only to the heartache of those close to Madeleine who are innocent. And please read those last few words of mine closely.
Yes. It is a strange, but very sad story. Just like the one I read about the other day about the 2 yr old baby girl savaged to death by a dog let inside the house by a stoned and drunk grandma babysitting her on new years eve.Made me very sad reading that. Horrible death to that baby.
But coming back to madeline… i believe if her parents have anything to do with her dissappearance, they will become the most hated people in the world. If they haven’t, they must be feeling the most abandoned people living.
Everyone was with them, now hardly anyone. I believe we need some facts now.
This has never looked right.

Whatever happened to “Innocent until case proven”?
Isn’t it funny how the press were all “Find Maddy” until it became old news. Now they have turned on the parents to get a few more scoop front pages out of it.
If charges are ever brought to bear, let the jury decide who is guilty and who isn’t.
I think we are all entitled to our opinions, but because of the complete lack of facts it is as much speculation to assume their innocence as it is to assume their guilt.
I am now going to sound heartless (in case you hadn’t already worked that out about me)
But can anyone tell me WHY this story is so important to the British public?
Children go missing ALL the time. Seriously. Why are we so obsessed with little cute blond Madeleine McCann, with her middle class parents and the stereotypical nuclear family “image”? Eh…starting to hear the problem…?
Imagine if this was a CHAV family…would we be so obsessed…probably not.
Imagine if this was the child of a single Mum…it would be headlines for a day or two, but not 4 months…
Imagine if the family WASN’T white…
Or they WEREN’T English…
So we’re obsessing about this story not because its a story we’re interested in, but because the media is obsessing about this story.
Here comes the heartless bit…WHY SHOULD I CARE…WHY SHOULD YOU CARE?
If we care so much, why aren’t we bothered about the thousands of other kids that go missing, from single parent families, from troubled homes, from lower income families that don’t know how to spin the media…?
Hypocrisy like this jsut tells me that when people make all the right noises about caring, they probably haven’t thought about the situation very much.
Now I can hear the frothing angry rage of parents reading this, and I can tell you now, I feel very sorry for Mr and MRs McCann and truly believe they don’t deserve what’s happened.
BUT I AM SICK TO THE BACK TEETH ABOUT READING ABOUT THIS cos its media managed rubbish and my opinion is of no value or use to that family, so why do I need to know that they’re going to the airport, walking to church, eating breakfast, driving a car, or anything else at all about these people…
Its like celebrity worship only worse, because the media and the morons who’re interested in it are interested in this family’s pain and suffering, and nothing else.
Wake up people and ask yourselves why this interests you…its a twisted and sordid kind of voyeurism. It makes my skin crawl. Leave them alone.

Yeah but…one thing gets me about her…is now how can i put this…i once lost my son who was four at the time in marks and spencer in lakeside…any parent will know the utter horror of trying to find them i was distraut by the time they found him playing happily on the escalators i was a quivering wreck…so why is mrs mcCann showing no grief nothing no emotion whatsoever i’m sorry but why did she run into the tapas bar screaming THEY’VE got her?..mmm the whole thing is brain numbing
Wasp, do you KNOW that’s what she did, or are you telling us that’s what she did cos you read it somewhere or heard it somewhere…?
What’s the difference between that…and gossip…?
And if you’re only going to gossip about people you don’t know, then why are we having this conversation?
I completely understand parental empathy and concern. But the cameras and journalists get a SNAP SHOT of those people’s lives then we sit and read about it and cast judgement…where is the value in a judgement based on so little evidence…and more importantly, why is anyone interested in judging them…what do you get out of doing that?
Does it make you feel better? Does it remind you that you have your life more organised? What does judging someone you don’t know and who has no impact or influence on your life, do for you?
This isn’t meant as a personal attack on you, its just I do NOT understand the voyeuristic love of people that is gripping Britain by the throat.
How shallow do we have to become before people start to think differently about the obsession with media and “judging” people who appear in it?
me too… some bloody good points raised in the video but anyone with an ounce of psychology know how or NLP knowledge, can see the video is manipulating the viewer with key words. Notice how certain words are in capitals and bigger - implanting those words as suggestions of doubt? The music used is meant to plant the lyrics and tones of the song. The way these photographs have been used to show they weren’t ‘looking’ either are questionable. If I had that lot parked outside my door 24/7 and you were going thru hell, I’d look at the camera with more than disdain. The points raised about the lawyers and spindoctor are interesting but the film maker is no better by making a film of spin and continueing the saga of the conspiricy theory. It’s easy to judge when it’s edited.
Like I have said else where… it’s tragic what happened to that child. It concerns me that her siblings, family and friends are all part of this media circus. What do her friends in the community feel when they see this constant barrage of propaganda? It does appear that her parents are media whores. In their place - what would we do? It’s difficult to try and put ourselves in their shoes and nearly everyone would do something differently and be chastised for doing so. Rock and hard place. They are the only ones who really know. I think Maddie is dead and buried, have done since day one. Whilst I didn’t take the light hearted bait on the other thread, I wasn’t about to stand up and throw my toys completely outta the pram. I am clairvoyant and whilst many don’t believe in that, I do and I have felt so strongly about a case, that I actually plucked the courage up to phone the police force dealing with the case. As it turns out, some of the things I told them were spot on, the rest is probably not for public release. It was one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do - over come the fear of being seen as a crackpot and passing on the info and I didn’t do it lightly!
Why do we care? Why do so many people watch columbo or CSI miami, vegas etc etc… coz the human race is a morbid lot. Look at jack the ripper - people still buy the books and make programs about him. After the renault mc cann thread, I was watching a Jim Davidson dvd. He was on about how he watched the 9/11 2nd plane hit the tower and thinking ‘oh my god’ shock horror. 2 minutes later, he was sent a joke text. Same thing with the tsunami he said, watched the horror unfolding on the news and beep beep - joke text. It’s the British twisted way of dealing with tragedy apparently. Whilst I can relate - that’s still a f*kd up way to be. What was worse was the holiday makers sunbathing on the beaches after the tsunami when there were still bodies washing up :sick: what is wrong with these people?
Why do I care about Maddie or any other child or missing person? Because I do. It’s not just being a mum thing either. When that little african girl was tortured to death by her aunt and uncle in london… I was just as upset as when Ben Needham went missing. Some people don’t care if it’s not one of their own… I am not one of those people.
However, this case has become one mother of all media circus’. There is far more savage and important news going on without being sucked in by the papers, spin doctors and film makers all with their view about who dunnit. Maddie will be forgotten, lost in the mist of the next media bullshit story to cloud the memories of those they earned sales off.
As for the little girl who was killed by her nans dog - that court case was horrible to hear on the news. The dog was outside and because of the fireworks going off for new years, the gran let it in. You wouldn’t lock your dog out during guy fawkes - the RSPCA would have you done for cruelty - the dog came in, another firework spooked it and it went for the girl. Tragic, horrible… her nan shouldn’t have been smoking and drinking whilst looking after grand daughter but notice how so many get on the moral high horse when they probably do simular. Difference is… what is the difference?
Well, gonna climb off this soapbox now. I agree though that there are many more frightning cases out there worthy of news coverage. I try not to watch the news or read the papers cos it’s just too sad. Scratch the surface of any society and there’s evidence of a twisted mind, sick acts and horror. That’s just one side (of many) of human nature.
Just one thing. I don’t think society gives enough of a **** about people in the community. People ignore the **** under their noses and express shock/horror when they find out the little girl was black and blue all over and now she’s dead. No one seems to care. People are afraid to stick their noses in and help look out for those vunerable in our midst. Not me! If getting a mouthful from sticking my nose in, saves anyone from abuse or povety - I will do it again and again. Why? coz I give a **** about people even if they don’t give a **** about me.
