Moped stolen-King cross St pancras

Just for info, as I have found these posts quite helpful, witnessed some teenager stealing a moped by the motorcycle bay in front of king cross st pancras, no helmet, riding on the pavement.he had time to wire the ignition in a busy street, about 2pm. Not sure if the moped had a padlock or not, he had it started and was just starting to get away when I came across it.My pillion managed to film him as he got away. no one around seemed to care/stop.I understand people don’t want to get involved, that’s only fair, but people didn’t notice at all until I started beeping my horn.

Told the driver of a police van a minute later, reg number and all, his answer was ‘he got away now, that’s it’…bit shocked by that. Gave the video to the police, who didn’t seem too happy to help tbh.

hopefully the owner will get his/her moped back.I will post the video later if it helps…

Good mopeds are shite!

Just kidding hope you get it back…

You did the right thing. It’s disturbing how the general public are so apathetic towards suspicious activity.

Let’s hope that scumbag will crash witthout his helmet on, ideally against a wall

CBR500R commuter
full of rusty nails, with electricity connected somehow to them...

Grim. I park around there but make use of the ground anchors. I also pretend that they actually make the bike more secure.

Free to go about his business secure in the knowledge that no police well pursue him
