thing is theres a lot of little hood rats were i live, i have a feeling one has taken him home, he looks abit like a pit bull/rohdesian ridgeback, because his a big dog, people assume hes an agressive dog, very attractive to teh little street kids round my way.
Join up here mate - www.doglost.co.uk, post up details of where he was lost and when, maybe a pic or two, I am guessing you have tried local animal homes to see if he has been handed in, posters in local vets are a good idea too, hope you find him.
Ring or visit your local plod shop as they will take strays in and keep them for a while… This is where we found one of our English Setters when she got out. Rang the police station (one of the many calls to them), then the copper said, “oh does she look more like a sad old man than a dog?” … That was her!

and as someone else has mentioned the Old Bill dont do dogs anymore, they just direct people who find/loose em to the council or Battersea.
apparently its too much bother to stick it in a kennal and give it a bit of food , till someone comes to find him or hes collected by battersea . (and i thought they were supposed to be helpful to the people in the community)
