I don’t know what it is with me, but I seem to be a jinx or something! People just always seem to want to take their problems out on me. :doze:
Just got home from work. I was having quite a nice night tonight, training up a new bloke, nice customers in. Saw a bloke at the bar who I decided we wouldn’t serve any more as he looked pretty drunk and half asleep but nice enough and he was with his much more sober mate. A woman joins them and it’s all good, then he decided to ask for a drink. I explain I can’t serve him, he gets a bit funny but his mates say we understand and we’ll finish up and move on. Then he carrys on asking and his mate then gets a bit funny and says they’ve been to a funeral so why can’t I just serve him one more. Next thing I know the drunk bloke has gone mental, thrown his pint and the glass across the bar at me, which has hit the bar display of full beer bottles behind me and smashed everywhere. Hes screaming the usual obscenities at me at this point and after watching the cctv later, him and his mates just casually saunter out of the pub as if nothing had happened at all! Bloody scary.
We’ve had a couple of incidents recently, this being the worst of them, all of which have been on my shifts. The bosses go away on sunday for two weeks and leave me in charge, I just hope I don’t get more events like this. Luckily they live upstairs so they came straight down. Really think I’m jinxed or something!
