Maths question

Aahh… when I was at school back in the day, when exams were hard and teachers pedantic, it was PODMAS.

They’re parantheses, not brackets :D:cool:

Without thinking about it, 1 ohm. With thinking about it, my brain collapses as I just got up. Show us using Norton’s and Thevenin’s equivalences please (with sources of 1A and 1V)

arf forgot all that about 2 mins after exam

BIDMAS mate, its your friend. EDIT - Ooops, didnt read all the other posts. I used the posh version with indicies.

Yeah, yeah line up to have a pop at my innumeracy why don’t you

Not 1 ohm…You don’t need any theorems really - just imagine a current of 1A dividing up first into 3, then into six, then back to three then out again.

(Wondered where my anorak’d gone!

exams are now hard and pedantic :crying: or atleast they seem it

they are only parenthesise if they are round

Am I missing something? (Like a few million braincells!)

10 minus a two quarters

10 divided by 4 equals 2.5

2.5 times 2 equals 5

10 minus 5 equals 5 - but this is not down as an option on the poll.

where does the 9.5 come from anyway?

My head hurts:hehe:

2/4 is the same as 1/2

10 - 1/2 = 9.5

Probably dangerous for me to get involved again butyou’ve calculated 10 x 2/4 rather than 10- 2/4 :w00t:

GEEKS!!!
