Marine Corps Toys for Toys Ride

Every year the Marine Corp sponsors toy runs around the Country to raise new toys for kids who wouldn’t otherwise have anything at all on Christmas morning.I love participating in events like this…biking is good…biking with your friends, enjoying the whole “community of bikers” thing is even better…but doing all of this for a BIGGER cause is the BEST.

Here are a few pictures from the day…I’ll post more of some of the cool bikes/interesting people I saw along the way in another thread in the Pictures and Videos forums.

Wow, that is a LOT of bikes

Holy Cow! That’s one hell of a turn-out Gregman!!

Fantastic stuff, and yes I agree it’s a wonderful endevour. That turnout puts ours completely to shame. We normally do them in the thick of December though around Christmas.

Hrm, I feel some competitive spirit coming on!

It was a VERY satisfying feeling…to ride in the parade and see all the kids smiling and waving as 3,000+ bikes roared by…then getting to the final rally point to see that mountain of toys…toys that are destined to be given to little kids who would otherwise not get anything at all on Christmas morning.

Just a quality day, top to bottom.

good turnout there mate, bet those pushbikes more reliable than those david hardley cans !!
