March 8th? 29th? April 12?

And not venture too far. Am guessing Derbyshire plod would be getting a boner about now at the thought of knicking bikers.

Try North Wales instead.

Interesting, thanks.

Just need to mot and tax the smcr.

I’ll let some other brave soul test the water with those guys :innocent:

that blog is quite helpful thank you… tbh i’m pretty darn sure that me driving to wales on the 10th for a off roading experience on the 11th and 12th of April would defo be against the rules for me, no matter what the rules are in Wales.

I know Kent police have been giving out fines if not a local.
Surrey have been stopping a few and suggesting it may be best if you went home.
Be interesting to see what they do now.

The issue is what is “local” ?

Be so much easier for us and the plod if it was actually described in the legislation. As it stands, am not convinced the fines issued by Kent plod would stand up to legal challenge. Indeed Cumbrian police have been clear - they have no powers to stop people driving from anywhere in the country to go hill walking.

Anyhow - over the next few weeks we’ll all be back out riding when we decide it is legal/safe/responsible - some of us sooner than others. Hopefully we won’t have to deal with this sh1t again :crossed_fingers: :crossed_fingers:
