Many thanks

Since joining the ranks on this forum Ive noticed that 2008 has been one hell of a year as far as bikers having accidents is concerned, there seems to have been so many casualties among us, myself included, and for those that were’nt too badly injured and can see the day they ride again roll on the day. But for those that will not be able to get back on a conventional bike my commiserations to you. After my off I have been forced to stay home and rest up, which to be honest seemed somewhat unnatural as I am always doing something or other, and it drove me mad as one or two of you know quite well. Well today was the first time that I have been able to leave home and drive my car in 6 weeks, and what a feeling it was too. It wasn’t pain free, but it was a milestone achievement. It will be a while yet before I can ride, but at least I can drive (doc doesn’t know yet though lol…) I still need treatment before I can drive legally and be fully insured to do so, or go back to work. But at least I know I can do it which was the main thing.

The reason Im posting this is to say a really big thank you to all the guys and gals that have sent messages, and for all of the entertaining posts that have been put up on this site. You lot are hilarious, your so funny Ive cried laughing at some of the things that have been written. This site has been a great tonic when Ive been down and felt the need for help, and Ive met some real nice people too.

I felt the need to share this with you because today has been a real good day for me and Im buzzing big time over it. This was my first off in 8years riding and I hope its my last (some hope eh!) Thanks again guys/gals your great.

Onwards and upwards Grimm and sorry to hear about your accident, stay safe when you get back on the road. It makes all the difference to have some support when you are laid up like that - and it’s true - I’ve found the folks on this forum to be a really good bunch.

I’v had two offs, a broken foot and a head injury over the past few years, but was lucky enough to bike another day.

Good night from across the world and do stay safe in the winter weather to all on here.
