Making bike spares look cheap.

Did a post a few weeks back about a new ignition switch for my Aprilia being £140 ish + VAT and how I got around that for, perhaps, 10p.*

So now a contact from my employed days, and a very good engineer, tells me I need a new printed ciruit board for the Potterton boiler that’s been playing up this last week. Price? £168 plus VAT plus fitting. Of course, I don’t need a big chunk of the stuff that comes as a kit, but I have to buy that and throw lots of perfectly serviceable stuff away.

I hate this consumer society with a passion.

(*Too old and lazy to look up the post.)
