I tried to start my bike this morning and it had a flat battery. I came home this evening after a hard days work (that’s my excuse) and tried to jump it from my car. As it happens i put the cable on the battery the wrong way round. Turn the bike key and nothing. I checked all the fuses and it looks like i have blown the main fuse. All the others are intact.
My questions are:
Does anyone no where i can get a replacement fuse from. I use my bike everyday so i ideally need one tomorrow. Anyone know anywhere in London ideally quite central (I know i am asking a lot) .
you might be lucky, if correct type and get one from a decent petrol station tonight! or…swap it from the wifes car!!! then you can see if its definitely just the fuse!
I thinik the bike MIGHT be on mini fuses which the car does not. Not sure about Halfords as I have a minifuse pack and it only gord up to 30 amp?!? just stick a screw in it and hope for the best (dont actually do this!)
From experience (my) most cars have both types! and bikes vary depending on age, colour, type, look, make and what ever ive shooved in there! Give it a go fella…worth a try
It is bigger than a mini fuse and does not look like any fuse i have seen before with two plugs on the bottom of it. I think it is going to be a mission finding one tomorrow.
oh god, sounds about as good as my morning was today, bloody trumpet wouldnt start, no noise or anything, all the lights turn on, we reckon its the clutch switch, so gotta have a look later!, thankfuck for the cbf 125!:w00t:
