Sat down on my stool to service the dukes brakes . Had tools and areosols all laid out . removed caliper … dropped out all 8 pads … yeah 8 … laid them out … Grabbed the can of brake cleaner and gave them a good squooshin … but it wasnt the brake cleaner … It was the copper grease :crazy::crazy:

a few years back me and ms mad-dog was heading out for the night, see it was going to rain so topped up the car window wash with the pink halfords screen wash only to find out on the motorway that i picked up the pink anti freeze that was next to it :w00t: could not see a thing and had to drive with my head out the window till i got to a service stn
My brakes now do once again make that nice shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh those brakes do when they work properly … They however aint found nuff gold yet … And its looking like one or 2 more brake downs and its as big a disaster as last season . They need Tim from Moonshiners … that guy had clever ooozing from his hillbilly act . I bet he would find gold and get them all drunk

Reminds me of the time I was putting the forks back together for the Fazer, I reached for the tube of grease and smeared some round the bottom of the stanchion to go between the seal and the dust cap… 10mins later it had gone rock hard
It was only then I realised it was in fact Gun Gum exhaust sealant! :w00t:
So I had to do the forks all over again 
I wouldn’t be too hard on yourself, I have applied shaving foam/air freshener to my underarm area on more than one occasion.
I once used WD40 to clean the brake discs. Once.
This happens WAAAAAY too much…

Having dropped the sump on the old BMW airhead to give it a proper de sludge, clean out with Gunk and clean the oil pump pick up filter, I managed to refill the engine with SAE 100 gear box oil.
Being daft and hard of thinking, I didn’t notice until I realised I’d measuring off 20/50 oil for the gearbox refill.
On the plus side, at least I twigged before I took it for a long run.
