I’ve been commuting out to Slough everyday for the last 5 months and anyone else that does the same knows that on the approach to Junction 5, there is a section which has freshly painted on distance markers. I had always assumed that there were no cameras fitted to the overhead sign but having seen something flash today over the slow-lane…well…I need some confirmation!
I’m pretty sure I’ve sped past this sign lots, well over 80mph and never have I received anything…but never in the slow lane.
Is it just the slow lane that has a camera? They’re very discreetly hidden in the sign.
sometimes i see what appears to be a flash but i think its a reflections of the passing car?!!?!? not sure though.
i always bomb through these (well 60ish) anyway because the cameras are facing the front of the bike, and of course we have no number plates there!!! is that just my idotic thinking???
I’ve seen those white lines on the way out to Slough. By the time I saw them it was too late to brake and it was about a month ago and no NIP so I guess there is no camera there.
M25 has these under almost every bridge but only a few have cameras. I wish they’d just play fair and not keep us guessing.
