It’s bloody good fun on a motard, I rode there several times on my 660SMC.
The race layout was one of my favourite tracks with southern supermoto.
was that the dirt section or full track?
They used a dirt section in the middle of the main track, you joined it half way around the drift and then joined the main track on the run into the left hander.
Once 'round the left hander, there was another short dirt section on the way up to the hairpin. You turned sharp left onto the dirt, run paralel to the main track and then right back onto the tar. You could use the steep sides as berms.
I started 31st on the grid and finished 16th in race one, race 2 was a DNF after a pretty stoopid mistake on the dirt. I tried to restart but my throttle was jammed.
I hope to do a TD there on the superduke later in the year. TBH I shall be a bit cautious as it’s very easy to get in trouble on that track!
As I said, it’s great fun on a tard. The LC4 bikes are pretty much perfect around there! I used to have a good bit of fun with a couple of guys on 250 race reps.
BTW - any interest in the KTM trackday being run by FE in the summer? I’ve done Mallory on a 660 6 years ago and it wasn’t too bad.
if you want electric you will need a blue plug.
