Looks like he was never actually riding the bike. The idiot probably opened the throttle when not astride it. There is always the possibility that the throttle was stuck and when started the bike rode off from between his legs - I have seen that happen.
Because an italian suit has loads of protection…NOT Besides my power rangers suit looks the nuts on a proper bike, would look a pr!ck like you on a scooter, mind you i would prob be able to get my knee down on it;)
My point exactly. The irresponsible rider will quite possibly p*ss around on a scooter in shorts and flip flops, and then get a big bike and suddenly feel the need for leathers, because they look “the nuts”. If I liked leathers (as opposed to textiles), I’d wear them on my scoot regardless of how I thought I looked. I’m not riding, or choosing my riding gear because it makes me look cool. I got over the need to fit in with the crowd sometime back in early secondary school. I ride a big scooter FFS. It’s never going to be cool (in some people’s eyes). I’m riding because I like it, and I’m wearing protective gear because I like my skin and bones.Does the tarmac become softer because I’m on a scoot?
Funny isn’t that when ever there is a sarcastic remark made about a scooter you are straight on here telling us all how f&cking wonderful they are. Shame you don’t seem to have a sence of humour but then thats why you ride a scoot then isn’t.You moan about people not wearing protective gear then when we admit to it you slate us for it.You stick to your scoot fella and enjoy what ever it is that you enjoy about it, just don’t be sitting in front of me in a queue of traffic and not filtering or i will let you know what a V-twin sounds like in your ear.
I’m not looking for an argument, but I will keep challenging any comments that assume “all scooter riders are x” “all scooter riders are y”, etc.
Firstly, because I am one, and I know it’s no more true than to say “all geared bike riders are z”. Secondly, because it’s downright rude, offensive, and lazy thinking. What’s next: “All Germans are Nazis”; “All women have teeny little brains”; “All black people should sit on a different part of the bus”?
You started it by making a comment which: (a) (wrongly) assumed it was the natural thing that the scooter idiot kid in the video would “progress” to a geared bike, and (b) was deliberately trying to stir up some response (or why did you put “cue annoyed comments from scooter riders”, or whatever it was in your first post?). Maybe I was wrong, but I kinda assumed that you wanted someone to come back at you.
Nothing I’ve said on here is insulting to you, or to people who ride geared bikes (contrast that to what you’ve said to me on this thread - and you’re the one telling ME I’ve got a sense of humour problem!). All I’ve said is that if you’re an idiot on a scoot, and you go on to ride a geared bike, then you’ll probably be an idiot on a bike. And that idiocy may extend to you only really thinking about protective gear when you think it looks cool. I really don’t think any of that is anything for you to get upset about.
a bikes a bike folks whether its a twist and go or a big old bus of a tourer. complete lack of a sense of humour bb.
every post relating to scoots you just jump on like a mini internet dictator. chill out and enjoy the banter…as thats all it is.
leathers, textiles, naked or wearing a giant elephant costume puffing on a pipe full of ganja…it doesn’t matter ffs…chill and get on with enjoying your bike…even if it does have a poxy little front wheel ;):w00t::P:D
I agree with Seb#43, it doesn’t matter whether its a scoot or a Harley, they and their riders have their own place. From now on I will not differentiate between a scooter and a motorcycle. I will instead call them all PTW’s.
I will however for the sake of keeping up the tradition of banter, I think everyone with a red PTW is a tw&t;):D:D:D
