Lorenzo in big crash

Always thought this might be Dani’s year

Yes, so long as Marquez doesn’t take him out badly in some rookie error! Gives Cal a good chance to get on the podium again too.

The unbreakable Jorge Lorenzo Opps :w00t:

flipping heck, that’s not a nice looking one.

According to twitter it’s 2 breaks in his collarbone and they won’t operate for 48 hours in case of internal bleeding.

Watch Marquez take out Cal this time

So a few hours after his crash, on Thursday, he flew to Barcelona.
And they did operate, at about 2am GMT Friday.
Then he flew back to Assen Friday.
And then Lorenzo somehow passed the medical Saturday morning.
So he was racing in the MotoGP Saturday lunch time.

Spolier alert.

And Lorenzo came 5th !

Fantastic race and huge respect for Lorenzo.

There was no “simulation” (as they say at FIFA)
the pain was (and looked) all too real after what
must have been a very very hard race.

Quote from the man himself…

“This fifth position is better than any victory I have had in my career.”
(from Yamaha-Racing website).

It was very nearly the other way round !

And I STILL havent watched it , must do that, apparently it was really good.

it was an amazing race. Huge respect to Lorenzo he was in tears in the end.

George has come off again and damaged the titanium plate in his shoulder. He’s flying back to Barcelona and will miss this weekend’s race.

Dani has also had a big highside and has been taken to hospital for a CAT scan as he is suffering from dizzyness.

so many crashes between practice and qualifying!

they’re going down like flies recently :frowning:

hopefully Dani will be able to race tomorrow.

Not looking good for Dani, missed the warm-up due to low blood pressure apparently. Still in doubt for the race

Cal did a good job considering his physical condition, and Bradley Smith is showing some good judgement and excellent riding. Hats off to both of them. The Tech3 MotoGP bikes are turning out very well indeed! Bradders beat both Ducati’s, which is excellent and Espagaro did a great job on the CRT in chasing Dovi! Rossi still has it, but Marquez was just sublime.

Was a fantastic race indeed yesterday!

worrying that, considering how his head hit the floor.
