I will be at Excel on 16 Feb. Would you like me to (attempt to) do that as my 1st assignment? If so it would be good to have a chat as I’ve got lots of questions about types of shots to get, formats, liaison with organisers etc etc.
must upload more to my flickr account as well :Whistling:
will be doing lots of touring etc this year and Karen will be snapping away from the pillion seat so will see if she can get some good ones from that perspective might be interesting instead of just static shots
awesome cheers Ange always wary of ripping from peeps flickr/fb.
im going to have a look at a shared resource we can all use as a team to help make images more availble so galleries abd so on can be made easier than downloading one at a time then uploading etc.
@ Tobe : it went in the reshuffle. and no, i dont like talking about it. a database of thousands of images wiped.
@ Eezy : thanks for the offer but im on this one officially. however go do your best and we will look at the results.Another volunteer is doing same - unless thats you lol - but it is a good test.
Dropbox is incredibly easy to use and very easy to share amongst a variety of people with a shared folder. They are quite free and easy about giving out free space (most phones come with 25 to 50 gig these days). I have over 90gb myself, so could always host the folder. Just a thought
Yeah it’ll be that or Box probably. Whichever is the easiest and cheapest.
Posting onto threads is what I’d expect you guys to do - to populate the thread for the event with images you took.
The shared drive / storage will be so I can upload images from it into the gallery system, or over onto FB etc without having to bug you all for copies etc. Copying off Flickr or whatever is just tedious and I don’t have that kind of time. Nor can I expect you all to be conversant with FTP systems or whatever.
Dragging and dropping a bunch of files onto another drive like Dropbox appears, is so easy.
We`ll take some pictures tomorrow and post them.
They will be free of copyright and you can do with them as you will.
Should you sell one or two for over £1000 a frame, a coffee would be in order, as well as a hefty donation to LAA.
jsut looked at ace cafe calander the following dates are open house so no events are taking place there so we could take advantage of their forecourt for a group picture and use the ace cafe as a backdrop ?
or every friday we all go down ace cafe and people can take pics then as large volume of bikes gather at the ace cafe on friday nights which is perfect time for pics and to help get us get noticed ?
