Late call last minute ride today 30/08 from near the Ace

Anyone interested in a last-minute ride-out? After freezing yesterday and not getting on the group ride, I’ve decided to go out today and have roped one other person into coming along with me. If anyone else would like to hang along, we can pop down to the Ace beforehand to pick you up. We’ll be going West out through twisties to the H cafe, then on to “Rixxy’s Road” (the one that goes past the prison) and back via Long Marston.

Any interest post up here ASAP, we’ll be leaving by 11:30 unless we get a post here

Might see you at the H cafe.

Cool, just leaving now so maybe see you there

Must have missed you, saw this around 12.00, set off, had to refuel at Beaconsfield Services, arrived H around 1.15, no sign of familiar faces, left just after 1.30 and went for a cuppa round Scorch`s emporium.

Rats! Would have been lovely to ride with you! We explored a few ways we’d never been before (that is to say, we got lost in twisties and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves). Got the the H around 2:30 or so and had a chat with a group of Polish bikers who were there, then went off to find Rixxy’s road and couldn’t find it! Gonna have to get one knee down and pray again soon, so that I know where that damned road is, it’s currently my favourite road ever

So, I set off half an hour after you were going to, got there a hour before you did, waited half an hour - even I can’t take deviations enough to take 3 hours to get from the Ace to the H :w00t:

Hah, we went through Gerrards cross and the Chalfonts, Amersham, detour to Bovingdon until I looked at the map and realised we were going the wrong way, back down through some small roads towards High Wycombe, then south to Henley, got lost somewhere and ended up going over the M3 on a small road, heading basically north-west ish and then finally ending up at the H. But you know what, it was fun

If I was on the GSX I’d have had the GPS, but on the DRZ I navigate the old way – “that road looks interesting, let’s go down there!”.
