Kriega US-10 tailpack and SV650 Sport

Hi,

Daft newbie question alert!

I’ve just got a little Kriega US-10 tailpack, but I haven’t a clue how to secure it to the pillion seat cowl on my SV650 Sport. There are straps everywhere!

How do I do it? Do I have to actually detatch any of the straps from the tailpack and pass them under the seat, or does something thread somewhere and then lock to something else? I’m stumped.

Cheers!

no idiot guide with it ?

without seeing it I would guess you have to pass at least one strap under the seat for added security, I had to with a set of oxford panniers and tailbag

go onto the kriega website and there should fitting instructions

what you basically do is unclip some straps pass them under the seat then fasten the pack to them…

I didn’t get any idiot guides, no. It was a gift…

Ah! found the instructions on the Kriega website - they were buried under one of the other products.

Thanks guys

LOL

if you use the space under the seat a lot you may find it useful to make some sort of retaining loop mechanism under the seat for each strap, otherwise it gets a bit laborious, lining them up each time etc

That’s a good idea. Ideally I’d like to find a way to move all the fuses and wires somewhere further down so I can use the under-seat tray properly, too… I’m fed up having to reach inside the fairing, James Herriot-style, to get my disc-lock!

Unless you can fit the strips somewhere under your tail, you have to pass the 2 of them under the seat and leave the clips dangling out. These then pass over the sides of the tailpack and attach to the clips on the top of it. Unless you leave the pack on the bike at all times this means dangling clip ends that you either have to tuck away somewere or remove when not in use.

I’ve taken to stuffing them inside the tiny underseat space when the pack’s not in use. It’s no hardship, really, as I have to unlock it to get the disclock out anyway.
