Kriega R35

I cant believe i bought a £100 bag at the weekend - only to find out in this mornings downpores, that for it to be 100% waterproof you need to buy the £25 Liner as well!!! Grrrr Typical!!!

ooops! :ermm:

did it offer any protection?

bummer, usea bin bag, it will save you 25 squid

Nice camera angle of ya zorst.

oh dear did i not mention you needed the liner?!:w00t::P;)

It wasn;t too bad, my tshirt had a ilttle damp strip, thats all - and it was really torrential this morning! So its not that bad!

Ive been done by the old waterproof bag thing twice myself till I went to Hein Gericke and got a proper waterproof one, and only paid £30.00 for it. Could have saved myself £90.00 all told if I’d have gone there first hahaha.

got mine for £70 Group buy! excellent bag tho

well ive had the r25 for nearly 3 years now and i love it, i dont really need the 35, mine offers enough space for a long weekend away, and its comfy.

Werd!

I use an R20 with a US5 strapped to the back. It’s much, much more comfy than anything else I’ve used.

These rucksacks are designed for endurance riding. They are equipped to carry Kriega Hydrapak reservoirs. They therefore have a gap where the main straps exit the bag at the top. This allows for the water reservoir pipe to pass through, and for the straps to be adjusted (they move in and out of the back of the bag). This is undoubtedly where the water gets in. If you’re certain that you have the straps where you want them, you could just sew up the holes … assuming you’re not using the bag for next year’s Dakar!

I just got a R25 with liner off ebay (silly cheap money as kriega was spelt wrong) but have to say I already use the us20 and us10’s as tailpacks, and they are well worth that bit extra IMHO. :stuck_out_tongue:

+1 i like the us10, i use it on my r25 too.

My US-10 tailpack is brill. It’s just the right size for my sarnies and a pair of jeans to change into when I get to work.

Used with the supplied liner I’ve never had a leakage problem, either - and it’s been used in some truly hideous downpours in the six months I’ve had it…

+2, I’ve had both stuffed to the limit always top gear. It even stayed on @ 172mph on a autobarn.

you can fit a pair of jeans in your us10?!

I can fit waterproof trousers, a suit, a pair of shoes, a belt, and a fold up 90 litre holdall in my us20.

Jeans in a US10 should be no problem

Eh? £25 for the liner? It comes with it! I got mine with it! That said, I’ve never had to use it, it’s never let in water just using the rucksack.

yeah but you probably flirted with the satff to get yours, it must be those baby blue eyes…
