I have an R25 and it holds more than is healthy to carry on your back!
Due to the modular system, you can connect various models together, so perhaps go for a smaller back pack and a US10 which can be added to it or used as a tailpack.
If you’ve got a sports bike, check that the R35 doesnt catch on the back of your lid when in crouch pose. Apart from that its a top bag, but I reckon I don’t need all the capacity most of the time
I’d seriously consider a tail pack if that is an option for you. They take 2 seconds to clip in and out. The Jets have a tank bag that converts into a ruc sac. Both better options than wearning one on your back I think.
I already have a tankbag that I will also be using lol. It converts into a backpack but its not that spacious.
Seeing as a most of the time I will be taking quite a bit with me (often long weekends), I think I’m gonna go for the R35. I just want the extra carrying ability. And then obviously I could even add some of the extra packs for even more capacity.
Appreciate the replies guys. Ill give an update on the performance after this weekend to let you all know if I’ve wasted my money lol.
Remember that if you are riding carrying a lot of weight on your body, you will tire sooner - being tired on the road isn’t good.
Granted, London - Brighton won’t be a problem, but if you’re thinking of touring, it might be something to consider.
i have had the R35 for years. and its been brilliant! depends how much yuo need to carry. i couldnt get all the gym kit, lunch, work clothes in the R25 (R30 wasnt out then)
I’ve only ever had problems with bags that are too small, never with a bag that was too big. (Without being silly.) You don’t have to fill a big bag, it’s just that the extra room is there if/when you need it.
I’d also advise getting some of Kriega’s extra bits so that the bag can be securely snap mounted on to the pillion seat. So much better way of carrying stuff and puts the weight where it belongs.
Oh, and a lot cheaper than the panniers and mounts.
