blimey, that’s harsh. I had a near miss this morning, but it was an old megane, pulled out onto the dual carriageway, just down from me. As I start to stand it upright the cager swerves into my path. give a blast on the horn, no reaction. So when she stopped at the lights I gave a gentle tap on her window. She ignored me, think she knew she was in the wrong just couldnt accept it so couldn’t face it. Wasn’t going to shout the odds just ask her to look where she was going in future as she could have really hurt me.
Anyway sorry to see those pics fella, hope you get it fixed quickly.

What’s with drivers and their attraction to the bright lights of an oncoming bike, that they have to pull out, causing the rider to crash.
If they wanna see what bike it is, just wait for it to pass.

Try not to let this put you off though and use it as a learn, you are not seriously hurt which is great news, the bike can be replaced, you can’t…

I’m fine really, reacted very quickly and probably lost 15-20mph before i hit him, so contact speed was below 20mph but there was a lot of momentum behind it hense the damage.
The slice in the tyre is a weird one though.
He’s admitted liability, well does he have a leg to stand on? he committed a manoeuvre and obstructed my path. Insures seen confident in case.
Plus i’ve got a witness who is a biker himself.
So hopefully it will go smoothly

Good on you for taking pictures and having the witness. He may admit liability at the scene, but you never know. Hopefully the claim will be hassle free.
