i got a set from hein gerek for £10. there wernt to bad exept for the velcro was crap, had to keep making sure they were on securely after each session. coming out of the devils ebow @ mallory the right one decides to bail on me. lucky i still had an old alpinestar slider in the van… which is now destroyed:D
I got my knee down on the last trackday i did only very slightly tho but i was sooooo proud of my self , apperently i lean the bike over plenty but my body positioning is all wrong hence why i dont get me knee down. so i havent had to replace mine yet and probally wont have to for ages
yup i was doing the same thing mate, tho now i lean too much and the pegs and my toe sliders touch down, if i hang off a bit more toes stil touch down a bit but pegs dont and slider does! and that why if i hang off more i need les lean angle, i still need to get my head inline with teh wing mirror, kiss the mirror they call it:D
well got a trackday booked at silverstone on the 25th so i will practice my kd and body postioning untill i get it right, only trouble i do have is the pins and screws that hold my right ankle together dont allow me to twist my right foot in wards so it either scrapes the boot or i have to lift my foot off the peg , which gets scary as the peg and lever even with rear sets on digs in the tarmac last thing i want is to be thrown off , so plenty of bodypositioning is going to be on the cards for this old granddad!! then hopefully ordering some new sliders!!
a mate of mine recently had an off due to his rearset digging in, gotta be carefull!
instead of twisiting it inwards, try getting your sole on to the heel plate, if you get my meaning, or google some KD pics and study the feet/body postio, i did! i rekon you’ll crack it, gettign the lean ange right is part of it, just get teh body postion to whats safe and comfertable:D
