Kevlar jeans with zip on back?

Anyone know of any good Kevlar jeans that have a zip on the back to zip them to your jacket?

Not that it would be a major hardship to have a zip sewn on to them of course, which is what I think I’m going to have to restore to

You can get zips that fit onto a belt, like this one: http://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/dainese-union-belt (handily from a non-uk shop…)

which jacket are you trying to zip onto the jeans?

I’ve had 2 or three types of Kevlar jeans and they’ve all come with zips, they don’t match all of my jackets though.

I use that and it’s pretty good. Although it can be a pain looping the belt through so that this fits evenly across the jeans…

Big Red S

As above, the zips don’t always match up across brands. Check your jacket, it should have the other half of the zipper for attaching to your trousers/jeans attached, unless you’ve removed it.

Just sew, or get someone to sew a zip onto the back of your jeans that matches your jacket(s).

BTW, Kevlar is so 20th Century. Covec has better tear, cut & abrasion resistance as well as a lower friction heat transfer. Covec also doesn’t degrade with moisture like Kevlar does. These are good … http://www.bull-it.com/ … just bought a pair.

Don’t just sew, don’t get ‘someone’ to sew .

I’m all in favour of improvise, adapt and overcome however, the stitching needs to be done in an appropriate manner to the use we hope you don’t put it to.

Using heavy duty thread and heavy duty stitching here is obvious, and essential. I have the same joining zips on all my jackets and trousers (Dainese, Arlen Ness, Bullit, Hood etc), so I can wear whatever bottom end with whatever top end.

For sure. I found a few images that were VERY VERY NSFW. I did it so you don't have to.

Unlike leather, Draggin jeans etc will go through a normal domestic sewing machine appropriately adjusted , using thickest thread poss and going over it several times. Fortunately not tested in anger.
Definitely don’t rely on hand stitching the zip on.
This reminds us we have an almost unused pair of ladies Draggin jeans with a zip sewed in which claim to be a size 12 but are bigger if anyone is interested
Asbo, son, probably not your shape

Only just remembered to come check this thread.  So busy with working and training I keep losing track of things, could be the knocks to the head though.

Ive got a Richa jacket I picked up at the bike show for popping to the shops/pub.  Wouldn’t wear anything other than my full leathers for the other sedate rides I do.  Even gone half way to some winter gloves too for the first time ever

Echo your view on Covec. Got two pairs of Bull-It jeans, standard wear for my summer commutes. Stronger than leather and won't transfer heat like kevlar if you have a slide after coming off.
