I have to go there this afternoon for a staff summer party! Anywhere safe to park the bike? I do travel with a chain etc… Cannot walk too far as my back is playing up and I’m trying to take it easy.

Hmm, expensive parking that one from FWR! I am thinking of a new front tyre, but only in around another 2k or so… lots of meat on there yet.
Tubes are not an option, I cannot cope with the jostling etc, it puts my back out again. Standing for too long also sets it off. Hence riding, short walk and then sit at the park.
There’s a big police station near the park in Kennington but even if you can park outside, it may prove to be a challenge as opposed a deterrent
Hmmm. That is going to be a fun decision… I like my secure off road with anchor points parking that we have at work.
Could you get off the bike and push it into the park close to where the party will be? No idea if that’s feasible as I don’t think I’ve ever been to Kennington Park…
Parking nazi’s from Lambeth will descend and eviscerate me and then fine me lots of money for invading the green space of Kennington. I work with vegans and don’t want to be fed broccoli and courgettes or egg plant curry sandwiches…
Lambeth bike parking is a pain in the arse, I avoid going there on the bike if at all possible. Not many around there from what I can remember. Also, when I used to commute down that way, there were a load of robberies happening in the park at night - the council’s solution to that was to put up signs saying don’t walk through the park.
There’s a bay on the cul-de-sac behind the Hanover Arms which has a lampost you may be able to chain to if you have a long enough chain (and if there is space)
Parked up behind the park in the one small bay. No issues. Rode home after a nice afternoon out.
