National Express offer free wifi on there trains. Cool!
although to be fair its bloody fair enough the price of tickets “noweredays”. I’m sure they make just a snip cheaper than it would cost you in petrol just to keep people using the service.
Anyone who wants to join me for the ride I wont be far from the keys for about 2 hrs.
Girlfriends Dad has been promising to take me fly fishing on some beautifull rivers up north for years and its finally been arranged. So tommorrow while your looking at your computer screens ill be pulling a cold bottle of beer out the river, hopefully it wont be raining, and fingers crossed I catch me dinner.
By the way Im no fisherman, in fact it would be fair to say Ive errr never really been since I was a kid. So should be interesting??? Any good tips out there???
Maybe I should go to what I know??? Do you rekon the fish will bite on pro bolts???
sounds like a good weekend powerpuffgirl. Well lets pray for good weather.
My train doesnt get in till 12:45. It takes 2hrs 50 when it normally takes 1hr 50 guess thats what you get for the supposed cheap seats. wouldnt call £45 cheap though to York from kings cross.
You been reading this thread Fly fishing for first time. I went to uni in York and is obviously where I met my girlfriend. Its a beautifull town, really nice people and such a nice place to be in the summer. Just a bit small and limiting when youve been there a while. Awsome roads though
I never had the patience for fly fishing, we used to cheat & using spinning tactics. You could improvise & use some sexy anodized bike bling with a treble hook. Although you may loose brownie points as a prospective future son in law.
Yeah just what I was thinking… Anodised Pro bolts in a catapult as they swim past
Night night powerpuffgirl cheers for the brief company. fortunalty the wierdo opposite has vacated the train. I always seem to attract the strange ones???
It works! We did it by accident out in Canada in 1998. We were doing some battle simulations for some infantry blokes, supposed to be a simulated mortar attack. Didn’t realised until after we’d set off the charges that the lake was full of fish!
Funnily enough, we kept stum about it until we were on the plane back to Germany:w00t:
yup looking forward to it mate. Although apparently were smoking them saturday night for a load of guests at gf-dads house. 4 fishermen 8 guests, we better have some good luck am thinking. Otherwise we’ll be heading into morrisons fresh fish counter
I’ll post some pics if theres any worth documenting
