Nearly 2 years since I went, thoroughly worthwhile day.
Who did you book this with?
I did mine a couple of years back with Hampshire Police but since moving to London it’d be good to do it with the Met to learn some extra stuff about dealing with London traffic effectively, although currently my most effective way is WOT!! lol
Just google bikesafe - all the forces that operate it use a central website and link off there. City and Met host it together. They use the Ace and one of theirMet Sports and Social clubs in Hayes (Kent) as locations.

As your bike is restricted, two questions

Do you have to show any doc when you turn up, did you get your certificate sorted ?

As the bike is restricted what group have they put you in ? Upto a 250cc or standard ?

No I didn’t get the cert. sorted - I looked at the insurance docs and it just says something about riding a bike you’re entitled to ride (or words to that effect), no mention of a certificate so as far as I’m concerned I’m not doing anything wrong.
There was no mention of the certificate in the documents to bring along, you just need licence, insurance certificate and MOT certificate.
I didn’t realise there were different groups, it would make sense to put me in the 500 group though as it’s just the top end revs that are cut off when a bike’s restriced.

Just had a guy from Bikesafe on the phone, apologising as the 22nd is booked up and there isn’t actually a place for me, will have to see if I can find an alternative date, loads of birthdays and stuff coming up :unsure:
