As you may be aware by the odd post scattered around the forum, JohnP has got gout :blink:

He has mentioned it on several occasions and continues to do so. His bike (read scooter) is also broke, and john fears taking it out at night coz he can’t trust it!!

Please can we all use this post to give Mr JohnP some sympathy as i belive this is what he’s after by his continual posts about his gout and broken scooter bike, before the fooker sticks it in his sig!! :stuck_out_tongue:

So, hope your foot gets better soon and i hope you get the machine sorted. :smiley:

It’s what you stick bathroom tiles on with. I think it’s something jp picked up at work. Dangerous thing, plumbing.

Gout is the formation of Uric Acid crystals in the joints (more specifically in the cartilage and tendons areas of the joints).

The inflammation in the surround tissues, and at the slightest touch can cause agony.

I would offer a bottle of scotch to help you sleep but it would probably make it worse. Get back on your feet soon John.

My Dad had gout once, GWS John.

I had an interesting race with a Silver Wing this morning - so scooers are not all bad! :smiley:

You were travelling along the road and a scooter was going the same way…racing is illegal on the public highway…:DGout is complete agony and everyone is so sweet offering him sympathy…but drink is not the cause…sadly I guess…:wink:

Gout- according to Wiki in 75% of first attacks it affects the big toe! I don’t know you personally JohnP but GWS, big toe or elsewhere :slight_smile:

Alcohol can be a cause - maybe JP likes a tipple ;)My ex was a gout sufferer & yes it was alcohol that was a problem :blink:

Alcohol and protein are the main causes. Beer is the worst alcohol and seafood and meat is the worst protein. High dose Vitamin C is meant to help.

BTW - wishing a fast recovery , it is not a nice thing to have (the gout, not the Nexus).

TBH Debz you could be right cause I’ve allways thought JP was on something with some of the posts he puts up
