Jerez Trackday(s) - May 6th & 8th

Just booked two day on track at Jerez in May with Track Sense.

We’ll fly out on Friday 5th May, staying in a 4-star hotel next to the circuit. On the track on Saturday, day off for sight seeing etc on Sunday and then back on track Monday. Fly back Tuesday morning. Jeanette’s coming with me (as my resident pit bitch / photographer) but not riding.

Cost wise: Tracktime £269, Hotel £280 (for two, for 4 nights), Flights £110 (for two), Bike Transport £219. Total cost £878.

Not cheap, but the circuit looks awesome and riding in the Spanish weather for two days should make it all worth while! Average temperature in May is 25 degrees which means I’ll sweat buckets and probably be half the weight when I get back. Failing that, I’ll probably stack it ten minutes into the first day!

Now I just need to record the MotoGP there at the end of next month and get studying the layout!

Great stuff Silver. The price is about the same as my time in Almeria the week before. I wanted to do Jerez, but could not fit the dates for that one or the earlier Focused Events.

I was going to go to Cartegena with Focused, but you have to take your bike to Norwich for transport… on a weekday. So that’d be another day off work and a 4-hour trip each way. Plus doing again when I got back - couldn’t be arsed!

With Track Sense I have to take it to Kemble (30 miles away) on a Sunday.

You’re going to have a brilliant time Silver, truely a great time! Cezar can speak volumes about sunny-spain trackdays. Jerez looks like a great circuit, and the area has great weather, you’re making me envious here That price isn’t so bad, considering it’s not just you going.

Have fun, take pictures/video and stay safe!

Enjoy mate. Prolly about the best bike track in Europe, and the favourite of many a moto-GP rider.

FYI the senna chicane will be “OUT”, that’s for the cars. Bikes have the fast right-hander instead!

I’ve raced there a couple of times with the Swiss-Moto lot, if there’s anything you want to know about the place ask away.

BTW The “quaver Park Hotel” (sp) wouldn’t rate 5 stars over here but it’s comfortable and very handy for the circuit.

In case you’re taking tyre warmers, you need the round 3-pin plugs (Usually blue in colour.)

I think turns 4 and 5 (Sito Pons - takes you over a blind crest mid-corner) are my fave back to back corners anywhere!)
