But on the plus side, you’ll have the badest bike out there, love riding all over again, and want to go touring, do trackdays, polish your bike and hack off the locals.
the probs are that they have a suzuki badge on them and they appear to be lacking in power…not the fastest bike in the world…come to think of it,they are not even the fastest bike suzuki make…
I’ve only just figured that out. There is so much power that I end up using some valuable concentration just to make sure I don’t highside/spin up/wheelie all the time, instead of just going very fast round corners (which is what I enjoy most). I’m chopping my K5 for a K7 750 (hopefully available in September). See my thread http://londonbikers.com/forums/shwmessage.aspx?ForumID=21&MessageID=93396 .
You may have heard of me through my MCN Ninjas username…Paul_ZX…ring any bells
Can’t believe you’ve chopped in the Z thou after getting it going so well round Donners. Just looking for a touch more ground clearance?
Would have thought that a ZX-10 C was more up your street but having seen Jay’s Gixxer on a few occassions, it is a seriously well sorted machine, if you end up with a bike like that you’d have to be happy (shhh, he does dream about 675’s though).
actually as standard the zx12r is the fastest still as the 14 got a silly restritor on it that wont come off…if you going for speed and scratching then gsxr1000 or gsxr750.pure power then the zx12r…a wild ride then zx10…but the suzi prob the best for the lanes…dont treat it with contempt or it will throw up some surprises…from what i have heard, the thou is the be all of sports bikes …my friend had a crescent rizla and now he has a ltd edition and he loves them and i respect his judgement…
you’ll find that the k6 - 750 (black obviously) with yoshi full system (yes its available) blue-printed/re-mapped and a little tuning will beat the thou in every aspect!!!
