just heard through an email from the css that the suspension guru james campbell wilson from set up engineering has passed away.
That is shocking news, i had the fortune to meet up with Jim many times at track days and also went to his workshop in wandsworth many times to get previous bikes set up by him. He could talk the hind legs off a donkey but the stories he would tell you just didn’t mind. James Whitham used him along with plenty of other racers.
Like Brian managed to work wonders on my Ducati, Jim was able to work his magic on a number of Kawasaki’s i had and my K5 Suzuki thou.
R.I.P Jim you will be sadly missed.
James from Set-Up??
Corner of East Hill and Marcilly Road??
Christ, he did some work on my bike last year.
Top bloke, seemed as fit as a fiddle. What a shock.
Rest in piece fella, Can’t belive your gone…
That’s tragic. I only met him the once last year at a Long Way Round send-off event and he seemed like a real nice guy.
Rest in piece
Sad news … RIP James
