Jaime

GWS Jamie

Wow, GWS Jamie. Must have been rather scary initially, glad it’s the easier, simpler stuff

Guys, this is just near where I work, there’s free parking for bikes just behind Waitrose, although it can be rather full. Have a look on Google Maps, between Cramer Street and Aybrook Street is a car park, free for bikes. On one side are marked bike spaces, on the other we just line our bikes up against the ramp down into the car park.

Thanks for the well wishes and updates on parking.
Just chilling and watching tv at the mo whilst waiting to hear if the swelling has gone down at all.

Really looking forward to take aways and scrabble tonight

Have you ever met a nice South African?.. mmm yep, we all have, you :)… get well soon Jamie

Lol. I’ve seen the YouTube clip of the song. Very funny indeed.

SPITTING IMAGE NICE SOUTH AFRICAN

There you go… you can learn the lyrics while you lying on your sick bed and you can give us a all a rendition when your well and we will all join in with the the chorus…

I’ve travelled this old world of ours from Barnsley to Peru
I’ve had sunshine in the arctic and a swim in Tinbuktu
I’ve seen unicorns in Burma and a Yetti in Nepal
And I’ve danced with ten foot pygmies in a Montezuma hall
I’ve met the King of China and a working Yorkshire miner
But I’ve never met a nice South African.

No he’s never met a nice South African
And that’s not bloody surprising man
'Cause we’re a bunch of arrogant b***tards
Who hate black people

I once got served in Woolies aften less than four week’s wait
I had lunch with Rowan Atkinson when he paid and wasn’t late
I know a public swimming bath where they don’t piss in the pool
I know a guy who got a job straight after leaving school
I’ve met a normal merman and a fairly modest German
But I’ve never met a nice South African.

No he’s never met a nice South African
And that’s not bloody surprising man
'Cause we’re a bunch of talentless murderers
Who smell like baboons

I’ve had a close encounter of the twenty-second kind
That’s when an alien spaceship disappears up your behind
I got directory enquiries after less than forty rings
I’ve even heard a decent song by Paul McCartney’s Wings
I’ve seen a flying pig in a quite convincing wig
But I’ve never met a nice South African.

No he’s never met a nice South African
And that’s not bloody surprising man
'Cause we’re a bunch of ignorant loudmouths
With no sense of humour - ha ha

I’ve met the Loch Ness monster and he looks like Fred Astaire
At the BBC in London he’s the chief commissionaire
I know a place in Glasgow which is rife with daffodillies
I met a man in Katmandu who claimed to have two willies
I’ve had a nice pot noodle but I’ve never had a poodle
And I’ve never met a nice South African.

No he’s never met a nice South African
And that’s not bloody surprising man
Because we’ve never met one either
Except for Breyten Breytenbach and he’s emigrated to Paris. (farts)

Yes he’s quite a nice South African
And he’s hardly ever killed anyone
And he’s not smelly at all.
That’s why they put him prison.

Hey Jaime! So sorry to hear that you have not been well!!! :frowning: Get better soon…if only for the sake of them nurses!!!

Update!

Well I just skived off work for 20 mins and popped in to see him - he’s dressed, packed & ready to go but still wearing the heart monitor & still awaiting the go-ahead to leave. He’s talking of escaping if they don’t let him out!:w00t:

He doesn’t have internet access at the mo, so how about all with his phone number send him a quick text to take his mind off tunnelling through the basement or doing a spiderman act out of the window:D

well just spoke to him and apparently all that’s left is the paperwork as the swelling had gone down so it seems like he’s cured, though the doctor apologised for not being able to fix him mentally… :stuck_out_tongue:

Waiting for a call back now as someone was walking in as we were talking and had to hang up…

Hopefully all’s good

I’m freeeeeeee!!! Woo hoo. Waiting for cab now. Chest hurts in the cold but it’ll take a week or so to heal fully.

Thanks everyone for the wishes, visits and sponge baths

Well done Jamie!! Great news!! Sorry not to drop in and see you - was out of London recently until today.

Glad you are on the mend - take it easy and no hitting the vodka and red bull:)
