Rather amazingly the bike turned up this morning - over a month since the accident Bikers Legal Defence have returned the bike good as new - in fact they’ve not just returned the bike but also all the parts they removed - some of which are still in useable condition.

All that came in, with labour at £2,282.23… so how close was I to having the bike written off?
no that’s what the insurance paid out - the bike is only worth about 2.5k so I think I came extreamly close to it being written off- I’m really really happy to have her back - can’t wait to get out on her this afternoon!
Nice one Matt, nice to have the head CBF rider back in the CBF crew
If you don’t mind me asking did you get the givi and rack replaced? if so what sort of condition was the old one in? Im desperate to find one for mine and don’t mind having a scuffed one to put on…just an idea…
tell you what if it’s in the box of parts you’re welcome to it - but looking at the list they only replaced the left hand side - you’re welcome to that of course!
Another option may be my old Honda pannier set - 38ltrs each and a bespoke Honda CBF rack - it’s in good condition with the exception of a few scratches down the left hand pannier - was going to put them on ebay but you’re welcome to come have a gander at them.
yeah dam right - no red lights for me! (don’t tell the boys in blue ;-))
Had a good little mess around with the bike yesterday and this morning - front break pads are pretty shot and my head bearing is a little worn so I’ve been out to Luton Honda this morning for the parts - will sort all that tomorrow - and apart from a pair of new Avons I’m all set for Morocco!
