Well i met a few of you at Ace last month and went for a ride with our girly Shauna aka Lustfish. So i went back to my home in canada and bought myself another bike.
Here’s the bike and colours i got, yep it’s a 750 and it’s pretty damn sweet.
Took her for a break in run to the Rockies and came back yesterday. Well thats all i have to say…cheerio for now.
Oh and shauna Lustfish says she only has 2 speeds fast and stopped. She’s not lying :)oh and the only reason why i bought another 750 was so i didn’t have to change my LB account name
Real nice bike, ive ridden one and really enjoyed it…its been on my mind for quite a while now, to go and get one? Just that im enjoying the blade too much…but im sorta hankering towards part exing the blade (after “tarting” it up so much as well!!) and saying a fond farewell to Honda and hello Suzuki…my first bike was a gixxer, a nice 600…then i went onto Hondas and well…just stuck with em…this is my second blade though, and i do love it…really i do…BUT there comes a time in every girls life, when she wants to try something new again…and the “pull” of the gixxer is beckoning again…
I love the way the bikes so light, low and easy to ride…cant get used to the smaller tank in front of me tho !! ha ha, have to keep looking down and checking it, cos im used to the bigger one, but thats neither here nor there…dont know…prob decide later on…see what i can get for my bike to go against the new 750…some are asking why go down to 750 from the 1000RR but i really cant see what difference its gonna make, its not like we all ride around at “cough” mph is it? oh decisions, decisions…and if i DO get one? you can bet ur backside it WILL be in the blue !!
The draw of the Gix 750 even gets me and I hate the way Suzukis looks :pinch:
After taking Shane’s on an * extended * test ride, I could definitely see the attraction, but getting used to a slightly weird feeling riding position and the lack of pull from the motor (compared to a litre) would take a little while.
Still, Shane’s down geared the bike now so it should pull harder…
WE spent 5 days out on the twistyest roads you have ever seen. how many police did we see?
1 copper in a 4x4 and thats it. So you really get to open them up for a long time.
The bikes consisted of a 2006 R1, 2005 ZX10, 2003 954, RC51 and my 750. Roll ons were pretty damn even all the way to 4th gear where the R1 and ZX10 would then start to pull away. that was about it. It beat the 954 and would pass the RC51 once it hit the power band.
There are some fantastic long sweepers out there where you can pretty much see the whole way through the turn. What does that mean? Well you can enter them in 4th or 5th doing i’d say around the 210 KPH mark and keep on accelerating through the turn, the 750 kept up pretty well i thought.
There are only a few people out on the roads nowadays that NEED a litre bike for me 750 is the best of both worlds. I have no interest in the litre cause this is about as fast as i want to push it (on a street).
Well thats my 2 cents, i dont really know too many places where you can open up a bike in England and ride like that for over 90 kms, i’m pretty lucky over here for that so i can appreciate how close this thing is to a litre bike.
Nice bike babes, I knew you would be tempted with a new beast when you sat on mine Where are the pix from the ride? Post them up in ride reports for us please x
