I want to have a go on the new 636… Compare it to mine, built 10 years ago…
Me too - I love the way they broke 600cc convention and stuck 36 extra cubes in it - wonder why they went back to 600 and now back to 636 again? Love Kawasaki for being so unpredictable. 
iirc, they needed to extend the stroke length and they went for the 636 capacity out of tradition
In terms of tradition - how far back? First 636 I was aware of was the one that came out in 2002. Then they dropped it then they brought it back.
The A1P, released in 2002, is the first 636 I was aware of…
I dunno if it had something to do with the Daytona 675, bike manufacturers looking to make their middleweight bikes more useable on the road as opposed to their track pedigree etc…
Why not revive the 750 and go head to head with Suzuki again?
